Samy Meftali

Samy Meftali is a Lecturer (HDR) at the University of Lille, affiliated with the CRIStAL research laboratory (Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille). Based in Office 224, Building M3 Extension at Science City campus, he contributes to the 2XS research team.

His research spans critical areas of modern computing infrastructure:

• Hardware-neuromorphic processor integration for sensor networks
• Adaptive video surveillance systems in fog/cloud environments
• Energy-efficient edge computing architectures

Dr. Meftali has supervised doctoral research including Aurélie Saulquin's work on neuromorphic sensor interfaces and Hugo Sbai's 2018 thesis on intelligent surveillance systems deployed in distributed cloud frameworks. His technical focus bridges hardware acceleration and real-time data processing for IoT applications.
