Dr. Samuel M Mugo is a Professor and Associate Dean of Development in the Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University (Edmonton, Alberta), affiliated with the Department of Physical Sciences. He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2006) and completed an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship at Queen's University (2007-2008). Since joining MacEwan in 2008, he teaches analytical chemistry, industrial chemistry, and mentors undergraduate researchers.
Research Focus: Dr. Mugo develops smart polymer nanomaterials for mobile point-of-need spectro-electrochemical sensors. His work spans:
