Dr. Samuel Lofland is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Rowan University’s College of Science & Mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland (1995) and has been recognized with the Rowan University Award for Excellence in Research (2007) and the Society of Physics National Advisor of the Year (2009). His research focuses on magnetic materials, thermal materials, and strongly correlated systems, particularly colossal magnetoresistance and diluted magnetic semiconductors.
