Samuel Komakech

Samuel Komakech is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, De Montfort University, UK. He serves as Chair of Postgraduate Accounting, Finance & Economics Management and Progression and Award Boards and is a member of the Faculty Academic Committee and Development and Review Committee in the Faculty of Business and Law. He is also a visiting scholar at Sunwah International Business School, Liaoning University, China.

His research focuses on corporate finance and governance, strategic management accounting, and public financial management, with particular emphasis on corporate financing decisions, ownership structures, and firm performance in emerging markets. He has contributed to journals such as the Journal of Accounting & Organisational Change and authored a CIMA Research Monograph.

His recent publications reflect a strong trend in understanding managerial judgment in investment decisions and capital allocation, bridging theoretical models with practical applications in developing economies. His work integrates financial decision-making with governance and sustainability, contributing to both academic discourse and policy implications.
