Samuel D. Gruber

Samuel D. Gruber is a Part-Time Lecturer at Syracuse University's Modern Jewish Studies department and Visiting Associate Professor of Jewish Studies at Cornell University. He holds a Ph.D. and is founder and managing director of Gruber Heritage Global (GHG), a cultural resources consulting firm established in 1995. His work focuses on Jewish cultural heritage preservation, architectural history, and heritage management. He advises organizations like the International Survey of Jewish Monuments (ISJM) as its volunteer president and leads the Arts & Crafts Society of Central New York (ACSCNY). Gruber has been affiliated with Syracuse University since 1994.

His research emphasizes Jewish monuments, synagogues, and historical sites, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. He advocates for the protection of religious and cultural heritage through GHG's Jewish Heritage Research Center (JHRC).
