Samuel Barnai

Dr. Samuel Barnai is an Adjunct Lecturer at the European Forum and the Rothberg International School of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as at the Department of Jewish History at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research focuses on historical, socio-demographic, and cultural developments in East-Central Europe and among East European Jewry.

• Education: Ph.D. in Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

His work intersects with antisemitism studies, particularly through his affiliation as a Research Fellow at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism. He was also a member of the Young Scholars’ Forum on Racism, Antisemitism, and Genocide organized by the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
