Samuel Ang

Dr. Samuel Ang is Assistant Professor of Instruction in Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio's College of Sciences. His research develops computational frameworks for virtual reality systems with focus on cybersickness mitigation through human-computer interaction optimization.

Current projects include Cybersense (adaptive VR sickness detection) and GingerVR (open-source mitigation tools). His work combines deep learning with perceptual psychology to improve VR accessibility. Recent publications systematically analyze terrain navigation effects on cybersickness and develop closed-loop adaptation systems for head-mounted displays.
