Samuel Abrahám is an Associate Professor and President of BISLA (Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts). He holds a PhD in Comparative Politics and Political Philosophy from Carleton University (1990), following degrees from the University of Toronto and Carleton University. His research focuses on post-communist transformation in Slovakia, political philosophy, and EU-Slovakia relations. He founded the Society for Higher Learning (1996), co-founded ECOLAS (2009), and has been editor-in-chief of Kritika & Kontext since 1996. His work spans political analysis, European cultural journals, and academic leadership. Abrahám has authored books on Slovak society and EU identity crises, and his articles address topics like EU integration, Central European identity, and ideological debates.
