Sameet Mehta

Sameet Mehta is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Genetics at Yale University's School of Medicine. He holds affiliations with the Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) and collaborates extensively with researchers in immunology, infectious diseases, and genetic disorders. His work focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms underlying diseases such as Gaucher disease, HIV, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions.

Dr. Mehta earned his PhD from the University of Pune (2009) and completed a Visiting Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (2014). His research combines genomic approaches, systems biology, and experimental models to study disease pathogenesis, including studies on tumor microenvironments, epigenetic changes in infections, and genetic modifiers of complex phenotypes.
