Samantha McIntyre is a graduate instructor in the Sociology Department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. She holds a B.A. in Communications and an M.A. in Sociology from UTK. Her research focuses on substance abuse recovery, harm reduction, and green criminology, with additional academic work in criminology. She teaches introductory and criminal justice courses as part of her graduate instructor role.
