Samantha Laumann

Samantha Laumann is Lecturer in Musical Theatre and Voice at the University of Minnesota's School of Music and BFA Acting Program. A versatile performer and pedagogue, she holds certifications in Somatic Voicework and CCM vocal techniques from Boston Conservatory (MM Musical Theatre Performance) and UNC School of the Arts (BM Voice).

Performance credits span opera (Cosi Fan Tutte), operetta (Pirates of Penzance), and musical theatre (Les Misérables, Little Women). Her research examines physiological approaches to vocal health across classical and contemporary genres.

Teaching integrates bel canto principles with modern belting techniques, emphasizing sustainable vocal production. She serves as music director for university productions and develops curriculum bridging acting training with vocal pedagogy.
