Samaneh Elmi is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and Subject Co-ordinator for BSc Accounting and Finance programs at Oxford Brookes Business School. She holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc, and is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Governance, and Research Methods, with leadership roles in module design and student supervision.
Her research focuses on Corporate Governance, particularly institutional investors' engagement strategies and the effectiveness of frameworks like the UK Stewardship Code. She also explores sustainability, risk reporting, and stakeholder management. Recent work includes a paper under review on UK asset managers' performance under the Stewardship Code.
