Sam Mutter

Sam Mutter is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Northeastern University London and Associate Director for Belonging at the CoMENS Faculty. His research focuses on pure mathematics, particularly the intersection of graph theory and operator algebras. He holds a PhD from Newcastle University (2022). He teaches Calculus II and other courses, emphasizing mathematics' applications in science, social sciences, and engineering while highlighting historical contexts and global contributions to mathematical methods.

Sam has authored two first-author publications and contributed to outreach articles. He actively presents at academic events, organizes national seminar series, and co-organized international conferences. In 2024/25, he launched the CoMENS faculty seminar series, inviting interdisciplinary STEM scholars. His teaching style integrates historical narratives and real-world applications, fostering student engagement with both abstract concepts and practical uses of mathematics.
