Dr Sam Hinton is an Associate Professor in Digital Media & Design at the University of Canberra. With over 20 years of experience in internet-related media, he has expertise in virtual/augmented reality, real-time graphics, location-based gaming, computational design, and creative data visualization. He co-authored the textbook Understanding Social Media (2013, 2019) and has contributed to digital arts through exhibitions like Beauties and Beasts (2017).
