Sam Fallon is an Associate Professor of English at the State University of New York at Geneseo, specializing in early modern literature. His research explores persona construction, literary culture, and textual identity in Elizabethan England. Fallon's work bridges Renaissance poetry, drama, and theology, with a particular focus on authors like Shakespeare, Milton, and Anne Bradstreet. He is the author of Paper Monsters: Persona and Literary Culture in Elizabethan England (UPenn Press, 2019), which examines how textual personas shaped early modern literary identity.
His current project investigates literary character and the discourse of 'personation' in early modern texts.
