Sam Davis serves as the Director of New Student Advising in the Office of Student Success at Emory & Henry University and holds the dual role of Adjunct Faculty in the Cultural Studies - Religious Studies track. He supports undecided students in exploring majors, academic planning, and connecting with university resources.
- Education: BA in Religious Studies (Elon University, 2014); MA in Religious Studies (UNC Charlotte, 2020); Graduate Certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (2019).
His teaching focuses on World Religions, Cults & New Religious Movements, Goddesses & the Feminine Divine, and Religion in American Public Life. He emphasizes liberal arts education’s adaptability to socio-economic changes and fosters curiosity-driven learning.
Sam advises pre-majors, aids course registration, and links students to internships, study abroad, and faculty mentors for research and career preparation. He also plays drums in a jazz band and enjoys cooking, gaming, and outdoor activities.
