Sam Cermak

Sam Cermak is a Lecturer in Theatre & Performance Studies at the University of Manchester's Drama department. Their research focuses on dissident performance practices from Czech and Slovak contexts, with expertise in feminist/queer theory, live art, and experimental art. They completed their PhD at Queen Mary University of Manchester under Professors Dominic Johnson and Nicholas Ridout, with a thesis examining Slovak and Czech performance from 1960s-1989.
