Sam Ashmore

Sam Ashmore is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Sheffield Hallam University. With a clinical background in general medicine, cardiology, and resuscitation training, his expertise spans simulation-based education, acute coronary syndrome management, and human factors in healthcare. He holds qualifications including RGN, BMED, MSc, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

• Teaching Foci: Resuscitation protocols (BLS/ALS), acute coronary syndrome, ECG interpretation, and deteriorating patient management.
• Research Interests: Simulation effectiveness, student nurse experiences during cardiac arrests, and clinical decision-making under pressure.

He serves as an Advanced Life Support Instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK since 2013, demonstrating commitment to advancing life-support training standards.
