Sally King

Dr Sally King is a Sociological Review Fellow at the School of Social Sciences, Keele University. She is the founder of Menstrual Matters, the world's first evidence-based information hub on menstrual health and rights. Her work spans over a decade in designing human rights-based policies and interventions, complemented by expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods. She holds a PhD in Medical Sociology and is currently authoring a book addressing gender and racial myths in clinical and societal perceptions of PMS.

Research interests include menstrual health equity, intersectional analysis of health disparities, and the sociological dimensions of reproductive physiology. Her work bridges academic, clinical, and lay perspectives to challenge systemic biases in healthcare narratives.
