Sally Gee

Dr. Sally Gee is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Business & Innovation at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. She joined the faculty in 2022 after working in industry and as a Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on long-term socio-technical change, innovation for sustainability, and systemic transitions toward a sustainable future. She is affiliated with the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR) and the Sustainable Consumption Institute (SCI).

Dr. Gee teaches courses such as 'Case Studies in Professional Management,' 'Sustainable Business in Society,' and 'Innovating for Sustainability,' emphasizing sustainability and innovation across undergraduate and graduate programs. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13).

Her research explores topics like public procurement for innovation, eco-innovation in supply chains, and governance frameworks for responsible research and innovation. Key themes include analyzing how policy and market structures influence sustainable transitions, particularly in sectors like waste management, biotechnology, and agriculture.
