Sally Brogden serves as Professor and Director of Foundations at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with expertise in Ceramics. Her internationally exhibited work appears at institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts (Houston), National Museum of Slovenia, Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum (China), and Ceramic Center Berlin.
She holds undergraduate degrees in Art History and Studio Art from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics. Her practice bridges ceramic sculpture and contemporary art traditions, with features in seminal publications like Ceramics: A Potter’s Handbook and 500 Ceramic Sculptures. As a sought-after lecturer, she has presented at Vanderbilt University, University of Colorado, and Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art (Poland).
