Sakinah Tillman is an Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Tax Clinic at the University of the District of Columbia's David A. Clarke School of Law. She oversees a clinical program where student attorneys represent low-income clients in IRS disputes and U.S. Tax Court litigation. Previously, she served as a Clinical Fellow at the University of Baltimore's Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic and worked as a Senior State and Local Tax Associate at RSM US LLP.
Education: B.A. from Bloomsburg University, J.D. from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and L.L.M. from University of Baltimore School of Law.
Research focuses on racial inequities within tax systems and policy reform. Active in professional organizations, she held leadership roles in the Washington Bar Association as Vice President and Secretary.
