Sadaf Ghaem-Maghami

Professor Sadaf Ghaem-Maghami serves as Professor of Gynaecological Oncology within the Department of Surgery & Cancer at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine. She maintains active affiliations with the Immuno-Pathology Network and Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre.

Her research program centers on two critical domains:

• Translational Biomarker Development: Discovery and validation of immunological biomarkers for ovarian and endometrial cancers, currently undergoing clinical testing for diagnostic and surgical prognostic applications to enable personalized treatment pathways
• Cervical Cancer Intervention: Pioneering clinical research demonstrating that clear surgical margins significantly reduce recurrence risk in cervical preinvasive lesions, establishing new standards for lesion management

Through the Immuno-Pathology Network and Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre, Professor Ghaem-Maghami integrates immunological approaches with surgical oncology to transform gynaecological cancer care, with particular emphasis on improving surgical outcomes through predictive biomarker systems.
