Sabreen Imtair

Sabreen Imtair serves as a Lecturer in the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University, where she combines academic scholarship with prominent activist work focused on social justice movements within Arab and Muslim communities in the Bay Area.

She is a proud product of the Bay Area public school system and the first in her family to earn a college degree. Imtair's research centers on community mobilization and organization, with her graduate thesis examining these dynamics within Bay Area Arab and Muslim communities. She actively participates in the K-12 ethnic studies campaign and has recently played a pivotal role in organizing for a ceasefire in Palestine, demonstrating how her academic work directly informs grassroots activism and community empowerment initiatives.
