Sabine Wardle

Sabine Wardle is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work and Human Services at Charles Sturt University, specializing in palliative care, grief and loss, and culturally inclusive practices. Her work bridges social work education with Social Work in Libraries (SWiL) and simulation pedagogy. Based in Wagga Wagga, her research focuses on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, particularly Punjabi Indian migrants, and their end-of-life care experiences in regional Australia.

• Social justice in public spaces (libraries)

Recent publications highlight virtual reality therapy in rural palliative care, CALD community partnerships in libraries, and grief counseling adaptations during the pandemic. Awards include the ANZSWWER Research Achievement Award (2024) and multiple ALIA Research and Greening Libraries Grants (2021). She supervises Honours, Master’s, and PhD students in social work and human services.
