Sabine Schmolinsky

Sabine Schmolinsky is a Professor of Medieval History at the University of Erfurt. Her research focuses on spatio-temporal concepts, subject formation, self-testimonials, and medievalism, with a particular emphasis on religious violence and gender dynamics in medieval contexts.

Current project: Martyrdom and Voluntariness (2020-2024), analyzing medieval narratives of voluntary death through interdisciplinary workshops and collaborations with international historians.
