Prof. Dr. Sabine Pfeffer is a faculty member at the Department of Social Work, Fulda University of Applied Sciences, where she has served as Professor of Social and Administrative Law for Social Work since 2004. She is also Dean of Students and Scientific Director of the Centre for Scientific Further Education at the university.
- Education: Law studies at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main; doctoral studies at the University of Bremen (part-time, 1999-2001).
Her research focuses on the legal rights of disabled people, social law (particularly SGB XII and II), and legal frameworks for debt counseling. She has led interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with international institutions, including studies on disability inclusion, poverty, migration, and social security law.
Prof. Pfeffer has held visiting professorships at Queensland University of Technology (2019), University of North Florida (2017), University of Maryland School (2017), and University of the Sunshine Coast (2015-2016). She has also acted as a reviewer and consultant for national and international funding bodies, such as DAAD and the German Council of Science and Humanities.
- Memberships: Senate Commission for teaching and learning, "AG Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung", appointments committees, and practical training committee at Fulda University.
