Sabine Kampmann

Dr. Sabine Kampmann is a Lecturer for Special Tasks at the Institute for Art and Art History of the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her work bridges art history, cultural analysis, and exhibition practices.

Research Interests: She explores intersections between literature and visual art, focusing on themes like motherhood, historical representations of the nude, and the role of art in public spaces. Her projects include curating exhibitions and analyzing museum history, such as the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf.

Teaching and Projects: Kampmann leads courses on fundamental art history topics, including the horse motif and medieval to modern human imagery. Her recent projects address the public dimension of art through monuments and urban spaces, alongside organizing internships and international study programs.
