Prof. Dr. Sabine Boos is a Professor of Engineering Law at Heilbronn University since 2017 and founder of the Institute for the Law of Innovative Technologies (IRiT). Her work focuses on patent law, employee invention law, and IP management in industrial contexts.
- Director of IRiT, an interdisciplinary center for legal issues in innovation
- Active in teaching technical and IT-focused programs at HHN

Research Interests center on the legal frameworks of technological innovation, including:
- Patent litigation and utility model law
- IP valuation and standardization in AI

Leadership Roles include being the Continuing Education Commissioner at HHN since 2025 and active participation in university senates and equality commissions. She also co-founded and leads the annual Practical Knowledge of Patents continuing education course since 2022.
