Sabina Alkire

Sabina Alkire is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, where she directs the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) within the Department of International Development. She is also a Distinguished Research Affiliate at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs.

• Research Interests: Multidimensional poverty measurement, welfare economics, Amartya Sen’s capability approach, Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness index, and human development.
• Affiliations: Oxford Department of International Development, Latin American Centre (as OSGA Research Associate), and Kellogg Institute for International Studies.
