SEMA AYTAÇ is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, Gaziantep University. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Nursing (2020), Master’s in Nursing (2015), and Licence in Nursing (2010) from Gaziantep University. She has extensive experience in clinical nursing (2010–2022) across emergency, tuberculosis, and hospital settings.

Her research focuses on Internal Medicine Nursing, with emphasis on chronic disease management, tuberculosis care, treatment adherence, and elderly healthcare. She has pioneered studies on telehealth interventions for tuberculosis patients, stigma in infectious diseases, and symptom management in COPD and cancer.
Recent publications span disaster medicine, geriatric oncology, and respiratory therapy, with 2025 articles addressing trauma in earthquake survivors and frailty in heart failure patients. She has authored four books, including Current Researches in Health Sciences (2022) and Current Technological Approaches in the Management of Chronic Diseases (2025).
