S. Murphree

S. Murphree is a Professor and Department Chair of Chemistry at Allegheny College. He earned a Ph.D. from Emory University and a B.A. from Colgate University.

His research focuses on:

• Synthetic methodology using polyfunctional sulfones
• Synthesis of furan-containing compounds with biological relevance
• Microwave-assisted organic synthesis (MAOS)
