S. Brent Rodriguez-Plate

S. Brent Rodriguez-Plate is Professor of Religious Studies at Hamilton College, specializing in material religion and religion in popular culture. His research explores intersections of sensory perception and spiritual traditions globally. He has authored/edited 15 books including the Routledge Handbook of Material Religion, and serves as Executive Director of APRIL and editor of CrossCurrents journal.

Education includes a PhD from Emory University with additional degrees from University of Glasgow, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Seattle Pacific University.
