About
Rynson W.H. Lau is a Professor of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), leading research in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning. He holds an Honorary Professorship at Swansea University. Previously, he served on faculties at Durham University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His work focuses on advancing graphics and vision techniques, including deep learning applications for graphics/vision problems, with publications in top venues like SIGGRAPH, CVPR, and NeurIPS. He has received the Adobe Research Gift (2023) and the Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award (2025) for his editorial contributions to the International Journal of Computer Vision.
