Ryan Younggren

Ryan Younggren is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Law and a newly elected District Judge for East-Central North Dakota. He has served as an Assistant Cass County State’s Attorney for 15 years, leading the personal crimes team, and has over 24 years of legal experience as a trial lawyer and major crimes prosecutor. Younggren previously ran for state’s attorney in 2022 and has sought judicial appointments before. His career combines prosecution, legal education, and public service. He succeeds retiring Judge John Irby after a decisive election victory over Daniel Gast (64%–35%).
