About
Dr. Ryan Mohan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. His research investigates neurodegeneration mechanisms, chromatin remodeling, and protein complex functions using biochemical, genetic, and proteomic approaches. He earned his PhD from Western University (Canada) and completed postdoctoral training at the Stowers Institute.
Current research includes:
- SAGA complex regulation in neural degeneration
- Actin-cytoskeleton and gene regulation interactions
- Post-translational modifications in disease
- Circadian rhythm disruptions
Awards include Best Mentor (2018, 2020). Grant support includes NIH R01NS117539 (2021-2026) studying actin-gene regulatory complex communication.
