Ryan Lei

Ryan Lei is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Haverford College, based at 370 Lancaster Ave.

Lei's research examines how children construct understanding of the social world, with emphasis on social prototype development. This work explores downstream effects on stereotype acquisition, prejudice formation, discriminatory behavior, and academic motivation through an intersectional lens that accounts for diverse backgrounds. He employs social cognitive methodologies including surveys and reaction time measures.
