Ryan J. Wilson serves as the Department Executive Officer, Henry B. Tippie Chair in Accounting, and Professor at the Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa. Previously, he held leadership roles including Director of the School of Accounting and Richard W. Lindholm Distinguished Professor in Taxation at the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business.
His doctoral degree was earned at the University of Washington. Professor Wilson's research centers on corporate tax planning and the intersection of tax and financial accounting, with specific expertise in tax avoidance mechanisms, international taxation frameworks, and policy impacts on corporate behavior. His work consistently appears in premier journals including The Accounting Review and Journal of Accounting Research.
