Ryan Huston is an Associate Professor of Accounting in the Lyons School of Accounting at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University, since 2018. He holds a PhD (2007), MS (2007), and BBA (2007) in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Prior to Texas Tech, he served at Florida State University, University of South Florida, and Arizona State University. Before academia, he worked as a tax professional at Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Dallas.
His research focuses on Taxation, Earnings Management, and Executive Compensation. Key areas include inventory manipulation for earnings management, tax policy impacts, and executive stock option strategies. His work appears in top journals like The Accounting Review and Journal of the American Taxation Association.
