Ryan Gauthier is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University. He holds a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam, JD from Harvard Law School, and BA in Political Science from Carleton University. His research examines accountability frameworks for international sports organizations.
Focus areas include human rights implications of mega-sporting events and legal accountability of the International Olympic Committee. Teaches international law and human rights courses while coaching the Jessup International Law Moot team. Research informed by experiences at United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking.
