Ryan Clutterbuck, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University. He is actively involved in teaching and research focusing on organizational behavior, sport leadership, leadership development, sport for development, and coach education. He also serves as head coach for the Canadian women’s national football team competing in the 2021 International Federation of American Football Women’s World Championship in Finland.
His research emphasizes collaborative, action-oriented approaches to support grassroots community sport clubs and national sport organizations. Notable affiliations include the North American Society for Sport Management and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School (2020). His work has been published in journals like Managing Sport & Leisure and Journal of Sport for Development.
Dr. Clutterbuck’s teaching expertise spans leadership in sport management and organizational behavior in sport organizations. His publications highlight themes of long-term athlete development, organizational capacity building, and innovative pedagogical approaches such as flipped classrooms in coach education.
