Ryan Balzan

Ryan Balzan is a Research Fellow at the School of Psychology within the University of Adelaide's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. He is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students in cognitive neuropsychiatry and related disciplines.

His research specializes in the application of cognitive psychology to psychiatric symptoms, with primary focus on how cognitive biases contribute to the development and maintenance of delusions. Key investigations target individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and those identified as 'delusion-prone'—people exhibiting mild delusional tendencies without clinical diagnosis.
