Ryan Bacha

Ryan Bacha is a Professor of Architecture at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2003, holding roles such as Third-year Architecture Studio Coordinator (2019–24) and member of multiple institutional committees. He earned an M.Arch from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology from Fairmont State College. His research focuses on sustainable architecture, digital fabrication, and cultural architectural typologies. Notable projects include the Chatham County Health Department Wellness Park (2013) and collaborations with GoDesign Inc. to build schools for underserved communities globally. He has received awards like the Vulcan Teaching Excellence Award (2013) and recognition in design competitions. His teaching spans design-build initiatives, including the Hyperboloid Pavilion (2012) and student-led projects in France and the U.S.

Professional experience includes leading BKDW LLC since 2005, with projects ranging from residential designs to public infrastructure. He actively participates in organizations like USGBC Georgia and the American Institute of Architects.
