Ruti Talmor

Ruti Talmor is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Pitzer College (since 2011), where she combines anthropological theory with visual methodologies. Her work bridges cultural anthropology, ethnographic film, and African diaspora studies, focusing on intersections between queer media, transnational gender relations, and neoliberal cultural production. As co-curator of Glyphs: Acts of Inscription (2013) and Possible Cities (2011), she explores counter-archival visual practices and urban spatial politics.
