Associate Professor Ruth Morgan directs the ANU Centre for Environmental History, specializing in environmental history and climate studies across Australia, the British Empire, and Indian Ocean world. Her research has received support from the Australian Research Council, Humboldt Foundation, and Rachel Carson Center.

- Climate justice and environmental policy
- Settler colonialism and health governance
