Ruth Childs serves as Associate Professor and Chair of Theatre & Music Studies at State University of New York College at Brockport, where she has taught since 2001.

A certified Fitzmaurice Voicework instructor, Professor Childs specializes in acting techniques, vocal production, and physical theatre. She maintains active engagement with contemporary playwriting through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
