Russell Campion is a Professor and Head of the Department of Computing at the University of Staffordshire, leading the School of Digital, Tech, Innovation & Business. He holds a PhD in Computer Science, MRes in Computing Science (specializing in Human-Computer Interaction), and a BA (Hons) in Interactive Systems Design. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the British Computer Society (BCS).
Campion’s expertise spans Digital Applications, Mobile Computing, Games Development, and Usability Design. His research focuses on multimedia/web systems design, e-learning applications, and health informatics. He has developed over 35 modules, including pioneering multimedia and web-based courses, and has led initiatives like the TRIuMPh design method for task-oriented interface development.
