Russ Chess-Williams

Russ Chess-Williams is Professor and Director of the Centre for Urology Research at Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine. His laboratory research focuses on lower urinary tract disorders including overactive bladder, urological cancers, stress incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. His group employs tissue-based pharmacological studies, molecular biology techniques, and biochemical assays.

Research Approaches: Examination of receptors and ion channels in bladder/urethra/ureter/prostate; effects of cytotoxic drugs on bladder function; treatments to enhance radiotherapy efficacy; and neural regulation of urinary organs.
