Ruken Aslan

Ruken Aslan is a lecturer at Trakya University's Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. She holds a doctorate in Plastic Arts and has contributed extensively to contemporary art discourse through publications and exhibitions.

Her research focuses on Art History, particularly Surrealism, Abstract Painting, and the role of cities in avant-garde movements. Her work explores theoretical shifts in art since the 1970s and the use of symbolic imagery in modern visual culture.

Notably, she received the Ege Art Art Fair 'Young Art Painting Competition' First Prize in 2009. Her exhibitions, such as "Eskizkent'in Hayaletleri" and "Noktanız Halen Firarda Bay Klee", reflect her engagement with interdisciplinary and collaborative art practices.
