Dr. Rui Huang is a Research Fellow at the Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats (ICIQ). He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from Dalian University of Technology, China, and the Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science. He joined ICIQ in 2016 under a Marie Curie COFUND Fellowship, where he focuses on the formation mechanisms of cyclic carbonates via CO2 insertion into epoxides using in-situ spectroscopy techniques. His research interests include catalysis, materials science, and green chemistry, with an emphasis on sustainable chemical processes. Dr. Huang has been supported by prestigious funding such as the Marie Curie COFUND Fellowship.
